History
Born out of a senior capping project, North Road Communications launched as a public relations firm in 2011. The firm is directly affiliated with Marist’s Public Relations Student Society of America chapter. As of 2016, North Road Communications opted to maximize its community impact and expand its services to include a wider range of IMC projects. Since then, North Road Communications’ influence has expanded throughout campus, the Hudson Valley area, and even Italy.

Background
North Road Communications is a student-led Integrated Marketing Communication firm that assists non-profit clients in reaching their business developmental goals. The firm is comprised of 20 external client teams and four internal teams. The teams are committed to supporting each client in their IMC needs, including media relations, strategic planning, and social media management. North Road Communications’ goal is to work alongside clients in executing their brand vision through multimedia outlets.
North Road Communications is based at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. The firm is made up of undergraduate students with a multitude of majors including Advertising, Public Relations, Multimedia Production, Marketing, Sports Communication, and Journalism. After expanding globally, the firm has a presence both in the US and Italy. North Road Communications is the fourth largest student-run IMC firm in the country with nearly 100 active members.
NRC FACTS:
North Road Communications (NRC) was established in 2011 as a Public Relations firm.
The firm was founded by Sabrina Clark, a Marist student, for their final capping project.
NRC is directly affiliated with the Marist chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA)
In the Fall of 2016, NRC expanded its services beyond public relations and has taken on a wider variety of projects, catering to their clients’ IMC needs.
NRC has provided members with an internship-like experience, and many have gone on to work in the field at agencies such as Ketchum, Edelman, 5W, Prosek, Zeno, Horizon Media, CNBC, and NBCUniversal.
