NRC Global

Our NRC Global branch was started in February of 2023 as an initiative to bring Marist’s emphasis on community service to our satellite campus in Florence, Italy. Not only is this an opportunity for NRC members to continue in the firm while abroad, but it also allows members to connect with their local and global community. NRC Global hopes to connect our members with rewarding international experience, while also helping European non-profit organizations flourish. Our client, Libero Accesso, is a nonprofit based out of Florence to raise awareness in society on the topic of inclusion through the development of accessible tourism projects. Some of their projects include the production of audio descriptions for historical sites, the development of routes in the Tuscan region to accommodate residents and tourists with different disabilities, and the organization of trips around Italy for people with disabilities.

This partnership has enhanced our social media presence, provided access to the younger demographic, and is helping us build an accessible website. The organization has benefited from the PR, marketing, strategic planning, and technical proficiency of the students.

The Libero Accesso Website was designed entirely by Marist abroad students in Italian:

Q: Why is it beneficial to work with Marist PR Students from America?

A: The collaboration with American students extends Libero Accesso's reach beyond Italy. It allows the organization to connect with an international audience and tap into a broader network for support, funding, and partnerships.

Partnering with students provides an opportunity for educational growth for both parties. Libero Accesso can educate the students about the specific challenges and needs of accessibility, while the students can apply their knowledge and skills in a real-world setting, gaining valuable experience.

Also, students help to reduce the financial burden on the organization. Students work on our projects as part of their coursework and that makes a cost-effective approach for Libero Accesso.
