Beacon Free Loop has a longstanding history with North Road Communications. What started as a relationship with Beacon Arts grew into working further with the growing Beacon Free Loop, a free bus service for visitors and locals in Beacon, NY. This weekend Beacon Free Loop had the opportunity to head to the city of Beacon to film an advertisement for the Beacon’s free bus! Alongside one member of the videography team, the account team spent the day walking around, meeting locals, and sharing the story of the free loop.

On the day of filming, the team from North Road Communications met with Kelly EngleWood and the Mayor of Beacon Randy A. Casale. According to the Mayor, the Beacon Free Loop has received nothing but great reviews and is continuing to improve. The goal of this project is to educate locals and tourists about the free loop option to travel throughout the city. Instead of parking on Main Street, visitors and locals alike have the option to park anywhere or take the train in and travel using the free bus.

The team had the opportunity to ride the loop. The loop begins and ends at the Beacon Metro North Station and takes you to Dia Beacon, through Main Street, and Mount Beacon with other points of interest throughout the way.

Want to go on a hike? Hop off at Mount Beacon and hike through the mountain made famous on the New York State Seal.

Hungry? Get off at the East Main & Main Street.

Interested in shopping? Anywhere on Main Street is sure to pull at your wallet.

Throughout the loop, designated bus shelters are curated by local artisans. Every few months the artwork is switched out giving more artists the chance to be featured. The shelter by the Housing Authority is even curated by a local student! With Beacon being famous for their artwork and culture, the Free Loop is just one other quirk in this small city.
