My NRC Experience: MOW Poughkeepsie

ELLEY WELLS, ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

My name is Elley Wells, I am a senior at Marist College currently pursuing a Business major with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Public Relations. I joined North Road to get exposure to hands-on experience with a creative and hardworking group. I had the opportunity to develop my skills in writing, social media, design, public speaking and so much more. It's been rewarding using the knowledge I learn from my classes to apply to my work in North Road and vice versa. Being part of one of the largest student-run firms in the country has been a huge honor. I believe our firm stands out because we have a great culture and dedicated members.

I am currently an Account Executive for Meals on Wheels Poughkeepsie and Rebuilding Together New Jersey. It is a privilege to have two clients this semester and I am confident in the great work my teams will do because of their creative and efficient skills. I was an Account Representative for Higher Than 7 my first semester, and then an Account Representative for Meals on Wheels last semester. I knew I wanted to challenge and expose myself to the work of an Account Executive. I have learned the importance of maintaining good relationships and satisfying our client’s needs in this firm.

Being a member of North Road has helped me obtain an internship I have been with for over a year. It has exposed me to real-world problems and allowed me to work with professionals. Starting the job search, I am confident in the work I have completed and my experience in this firm will help me thrive in my future job. My journey through North Road has been amazing and I am excited to see the firm develop even more and succeed throughout this year.
