NRC Global
History
Our NRC Global branch was started in February of 2023 as an initiative to bring Marist’s emphasis on community service to our satellite campus in Florence, Italy. Not only is this an opportunity for NRC members to continue in the firm while abroad, but it also allows members to connect with their local and global community. NRC Global hopes to connect our members with rewarding international experience, while also helping European non-profit organizations flourish.
The Global Firm Director: Madison Stavola
This semester I worked closely with our international client, Libero Acceso, by helping them expand their social media presence. NRC Global has created a website, LinkedIn page, Instagram posts, and stitched together a TV program video for them. Aside from this, we took some time to teach their social media manager how to properly use Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. This was done by creating a presentation demonstrating how to use each feature on each of the social media pages and having a virtual meeting to allow her to learn directly from the team. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with our client, specifically my weekly Wednesday meetings with Veronica. Her high spirits and dedication to Libero Accesso has shown me what working for a nonprofit organization is all about. I would not have traded this experience for anything else and I am excited to watch NRC Global grow.
Our Client
NRC Global currently has one client, Libero Accesso, which is a nonprofit based out of Florence with the goal of raising awareness in society on the topic of inclusion through the development of accessible tourism projects. Their organization consists of eight women: Veronica, Angela, Bianca, Daniela, Giovanna, Letizia, Silvia and Marina. Some of their projects include the production of audio descriptions for historical sites, development of routes in the Tuscan region to accommodate residents and tourists with different disabilities, and the organization of trips around Italy for people with disabilities.
