My NRC Experience: Unshattered
Sarah Ingalsbe, Account Executive
My name is Sarah Ingalsbe, and I am the Account Executive for Unshattered, a non-profit social enterprise located in Hopewell Junction, NY that employs women winning their fight against addiction. I specifically remember learning about NRC as an upcoming freshman at an Accepted Students Day. I was so excited to get involved and just really hoping that I would get in and be a part of a hands-on PR firm right on campus.
I have been a part of NRC since sophomore year, and I am beyond grateful for that. NRC creates a space where I have been able to gain professional experience and work with real clients, and I think that experience has been invaluable. I have learned so much from team members, clients, firm directors, and advisors. I think it is pretty amazing that as a senior who has not graduated yet, I can say that I feel as though I have seen how a PR agency is run internally.
What I am most grateful for at NRC is easily the relationship I have formed with the women at Unshattered. I have worked with Unshattered through Marist programs since senior year. As an Account Executive for them, I can confidently say that my team has helped make a difference at Unshattered, which is the most rewarding thing. During COVID, I think that we could all use a little hope. Working with a client that is as inspiring and motivating as Unshattered has given me that hope. This organization is so remarkable, and my experience with them through NRC has helped me narrow down my career path. I cannot thank NRC or Unshattered enough for all that they have taught me!!!
